D.O.G is a Dog Obedience Group which has been developed by HAPPY PAWS and is held on Saturday mornings in Singleton Park, Sketty, Swansea.

 

The park is an open environment which is more natural for a dog. The park can be a busy place, so I will teach your dogs how to deal with the daily distractions, for example children playing and cyclists etc. Being aware of your environment at all times is the foundation of being a good dog owner / trainer.

I believe is is VITAL that an owner has full control of his dog at all times and takes respsonbility of its behaviour. This is absolutely essential to keep your dog safe and free from any potential harm, as well as protecting others from your dog. "No one wants muddy paws on their nice clean trousers !"

I teach The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Programme which promotes, socially acceptable dogs and therefore creates responsible dog ownership.

My approach to teaching is of an open forum and I will teach you - to teach your dog.

I exercise FAIRNESS, FIRMNESS and CONSISTENCY, which all makes for a good dog owner.
